The Revolution Starts NOW!
And it will be webcast…..for now at least…a little bit of it anyway. Humboldt county has attracted a diverse collection of people for a long time. Now is a desperate time as our country passes $40 trillion in debt, our prison population dwarfs every other country on earth and 50 million Americans have no health insurance. Our land has been stripped of it’s resources by those who don’t care about anyone but themselves, don’t care about the future of life on earth and have purchased our government with the loot they have gained through massive criminal enterprise. It is time to do something effective. Marching in the streets and a distorted and diminutive presence in the corporate media monopoly have barely nudged the consciousness of a loyal hypnotizes population. Only a little over half of the population thinks George W. Bush should be impeached let alone tried for war crimes, economic crimes of staggering proportions at home and abroad (in addition to the war profiteering) and countless other atrocities. China is predicted to surpass our standard of living in this century and many European countries already have. While corporate criminals evade punishment for crimes that take millions of lives outright, diminish the quality of life and standard of living of billions around the world our courts and jails are full of pot heads, hookers and political prisoners. Police don’t have time to protect anyone but themselves and public defenders only have time to defend the few that are charged with actual criminal misdeeds.
How can this happen in a democracy? It can’t. The answer is that we don’t have a democracy. The elections are crooked at the ballot box and the candidates carefully picked by a small group of corporate criminals to leave us with a “Pepsi or Coke?” choice. I don’t represent the Humboldt Revolution, these words are my own and I am just the web guy. There is no grand wizard or representative of God running this revolution in Humboldt County or anywhere but there is enough outrage as people get hungrier and sicker and colder and see themselves and their loved carted off to jail for petty offenses or no offense at all other than being pro-democracy. There will be more contributers to this site and hopefully this blog.
We hope to be out in the streets more often and more aggressivly starting very soon. We hope to explore more effective means to overthrow the corruption and institute a new government; a democracy. We do not believe that a democracy can be started by force and those that have been have been run by force. They are, therefore, not democracies. Obviously. A tyrany cannot exist at the behest of one person or a small group of people; they must have the support of a sizeable number of other people. Those people must be bought, brainwashed, coerced or otherwise deluded to the point of not understanding the harm they are doing not only to others but to themselves.
